Meet Kenisha Darden | Virtual Receptionist Services & Remote Staffing Services

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenisha Darden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenisha, what principle do you value most?

In my opinion, quality is the most important factor. It matters because it’s my brand and my reputation at stake. In my business, I strive to ensure that every customer has a pleasant experience. My philosophy is to listen carefully to my clients in order to gauge the type of service they are expecting. As much as you may wish to obtain their business, you may not be able to meet their needs. In the event that you are unable to do so, it is okay. You will earn a client’s respect when you are honest about what you can provide, and it will also help them make an informed decision. It is possible they will not be able to utilize your services for this project, but they may know someone who requires your services or there may be other projects they require your assistance with.

In addition, I am also proud of my work, my business, again this is both my livelihood and my reputation. Thus, I will always give my best effort in order to ensure that I deliver what I promise. Service that is of high quality spreads quickly by word of mouth, especially when it is excellent.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

One of the things that sets my business apart is the fact that all of our services are provided virtually. A great deal of companies have recently started providing remote services, whereas before the pandemic, we were providing remote staffing services. Additionally, we are delighted to announce that we are now offering virtual receptionist services as well. We provide our virtual receptionist service to other small business owners, realtors, doctors, lawyers, etc. at a fraction of the cost of hiring an in-person receptionist.

In addition, I am thrilled with my book since it was the culmination of a long and arduous process. Personally, I have to overcome a lot of challenges. It is in the book that I share the growth I have experienced in my relationship with God. My life revolves around Him. My existence is a result of God’s blessings. There have been so many times when I have witnessed it.

It is only through God’s grace that I am able to be in this position. In everything I have accomplished, I owe it to Him. As a newcomer to this industry, I did not have any prior knowledge of it. There was a great deal of research, common sense, and trial and error involved. It was not an easy process, running a business is not for the faint of heart. The standard to which I hold myself is one that I strive to maintain. I was able to overcome many of these challenges through prayer. Researching and networking with other individuals who were working in the same field allowed me to pick myself back up. In addition, I have asked a great deal of questions and learned to follow my gut instincts as well. Whenever I make a mistake, I must live with the consequences and learn from them.

Integrity and honesty are the cornerstones of my brand and business. It took me a long time to get where I am today and I do not take it for granted. I have faced a lot of challenges and obstacles in my life, all of which could have stopped me from achieving my goals. My faith in God kept me going and I refused to give up. In the end, it all depends on how you respond to situations and the people with which you surround yourself. I never want to be viewed as the smartest person in the group, I am still learning and growing as a person.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Mary Macs Tea Room is one of my favorite places to eat. I enjoy the food there very much. It is likely that we would then proceed to Uptown Comedy Corner, as I enjoy laughter and seek to find humor in everything. I consider myself to be an undercover comedian. As someone with a need for speed, I would also like to visit The Porsche Experience Center. In addition, we would have to find a local yard sale or thrift store, since I really enjoy going to them. A visit to Cloudland Canyon State Park followed by a massage at Chateau Elan would also be necessary.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

My husband, Andre’ Darden, has always pushed me to do and try new things and provided me with the necessary knowledge to do so.

I consider my brother, Dwight Edmondson, to be one of my biggest cheerleaders. Whenever I embark on a new venture, he is there to offer me a shoutout and promote me.

Even when things are at their worst, my mother and aunt demonstrated what courage is, how to push through and keep going even when all seems lost.

Most of what I have learned about business comes from Ms. Robinson. She is an example of what a true business woman should be.

I am grateful to Mr. Spann for his advice and for his patience in answering all of my questions. He has also been an invaluable source of assistance, and he truly wants me to succeed.
